NEW TO MEAT AT BILLY’S – REUSABLE JUTE BAGS

What you need to know?

• From 1st July 2018, single use plastic bags are banned by the Queensland Government (with some exceptions*);
• Plastic carry bags will not be available over the counter, from this date ($6,000 fines per offence may apply);
• * Meat at Billy’s will still use ‘barrier bags’ to separate un-packaged perishable meat.

What is the alternative?

We have sourced some great jute reusable bags. These are available for purchase in store and online for $4 (just to cover our costs.). These great thing about our jute bags is they are strong, better for the environment, reusable and look oh-so-fashionable :-).

Alternatively please feel free to bring your own reusable bags. We will happily use any of these.
