Well this escalated quickly didn’t it?
Meat at Billy’s is in the same boat as all other businesses currently. We’re still trading & managing the situation diligently & cautiously. We’ll take each day as it comes and do the very best we can while prioritising our staff’s physical and mental health.
During this time we may need to constantly adjust store trading hours and limit the availability of our Home Delivery & Click + Collect service. Major updates will be posted here and via our social medias.
Our staff are doing such a great job at the moment while we’re all dealing with this crazy situation. We really are all in this together at the moment and we really appreciate your support, understanding and encouragement while we try and work our way through it all.
HOME DELIVERY + CLICK & COLLECT
All orders over $120 are delivered free.
Our drivers are working under a ‘Knock & Drop’ policy. Our contactless home delivery means you can safely home isolate. If you don’t answer, they will text you with a photo of where your delivery has been left.

- have little to no contact with store staff.
- sanitise their vehicles each morning before deliveries.
- do not handle cash or payments and do not require a signature upon delivery.

HYGIENE & PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
STORES & CUSTOMERS
- Masks are mandatory*
- No entry will be permitted without a mask (*except for those with lawful medical conditions)
- Sanitiser will be available at the entrance & on counters. Please sanitise your hands before entering the store.
Extra cleaning duties & procedures above and way beyond our normal routines have been re-implemented and will be executed on a more regular basis.
Maximum number of customers allowed in each store at one time:
Ashgrove – 6 people maximum 👩👨👱♀️👦👩👨
Rosalie – 6 people maximum 👩👨👱♀️👦👩👨
If the maximum number of people has been reached in store, you will be asked to wait outside.
Please maintain the advised personal distance of 1.5m from other customers who may be queueing.
Please DO NOT enter our stores if you are feeling unwell or been in contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19.
Thank you for everyone’s co-operation to date. It makes our butchers jobs a lot easier and less stressful.

7 days, from 9am (Stafford closed on Saturdays)
Stock levels are currently great and we are doing our very best to keep things that way.
If you would like to call ahead to check for availability on a particular item before you make a special trip please call PH 3366 2912 and select (1) for Ashgrove & (2) for Rosalie. We are not currently taking in store holds.

ASHGROVE & ROSALIE
RE OPEN Saturday, 3rd April
🎉🎉 We’ve had nothing but good news today. 🎉🎉
In case you didn’t hear, yesterday our Ashgrove store was listed on the Qld Health website as a ‘çasual contact’ location.
In response we closed our stores early and requested all staff, regardless of what Meat at Billy’s location they worked at, go and get tested immediately. This wasn’t requested by Qld Health but we felt it was the best way forward for many reasons. Piece of mind for one.
We would like to stress that all staff have now been tested and returned a NEGATIVE result. What a relief.
Qld Health has done an amazing job in getting all of these test results back to us in less than 24 hours. We were definitely worried it may take much longer given current circumstances.
In addition, and as some people have noticed & mentioned in our previous facebook post, intense cleaning is every day procedure at Meat at Billy’s. Reputable butcher shops would have to be one of the safest places due to the rigorous cleaning that takes place on a daily basis as standard protocol. That has only increased further in recent times & will continue.
The health and safety of our staff & customers is very much a priority and we’ll continue to operate under our Covid safe plan. Hand sanitizer is available at the door, customers are asked to wear masks and social distancing is required in store.

Our online store is also still rolling. You can place orders from now until Sunday evening for Home Delivery or Click & Collect on Tuesday 6th April.

PUBLIC HEALTH ANNOUNCEMENT
To all Meat at Billy’s customers,
Recently Qld Health has advised that a positive case for COVID-19 attended our Ashgrove store at on the below dates & times.
Tuesday 16 March
Meat at Billy’s – Ashgrove
2:30pm – 2:45pm
Thursday 25 March
Meats at Billy’s – Ashgrove
9:10am – 9:20am
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Qld Health advises that anyone who attended the Ashgrove store during this time is a ‘CASUAL CONTACT’ & should:
• get tested immediately
• quarantine immediately until you receive a negative result
• complete the contact tracing self assessment (on website). This information would allow Qld Health to contact you if required.
• watch for Covid19 symptoms and get retested if you feel unwell.
All Meat at Billy’s staff regardless of which location they work at will be getting tested immediately and will be self isolating until they receive their results.
Our stores are closing early today and will re-open when appropriate. We will post updates as they transpire.
