Product Description
Malouf’s Spice Mezza Za’atar (Jordanian) 55g
Za’atar is another middle eastern blend that is used to flavour breads and season dishes, much in the same manner as any mixed herb blend. Again, like nearly all well known spice blends, the ingredients and rations will vary from region to region. Malouf’s Spice Mezza Jordanian Za’atar is an aromatic mix of wild thyme, spearmint and roasted sesame seed and the ground sour berries of the sumac tree.
There’s sometimes confusion around the term za’atar as this word also describes the herb ‘thyme’. That’s why you may see it referred to za’atar blend also.
HOW TO USE
Be adventurous. Use anywhere you’d use a regular old herb blend.
