Scotland’s national dish is a savoury, meaty pudding containing sheep’s pluck (heart, liver, and lungs); minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal’s stomach, is now often in an artificial casing instead.
It’s traditionally served with “neeps and tatties” (turnips and potatoes boiled and mashed separately) and a dram (a glass of Scotch whisky), especially as the main course of a Burns Supper due to Scot poet Robert Burns’ poem address to a Haggis of 1787.
According to the 2001 English edition of the Larousse Gastronomique: “Although its description is not immediately appealing, it has an excellent nutty texture and delicious savoury flavour”.

This Haggis requires heating until piping hot! Defrost first if frozen. Consume within 24 hours of opening.
COOK IN SKIN (Sous Vide)
Bring a pan of water to the boil. Remove printed label and leave in packaging. Place the Haggis in the pan and turn down the heat immediately. The water should simmer, not boil. Poach your haggis for 40 minutes. Remove casing and clips before eating.
SERVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Traditionally served with Neeps (mashed turnips) & Tatties (mashed potato) and of course a good Scotch Whisky.
