BUTTER CHICKEN PASTE 100G – SIMON JOHNSON
Simon Johnson Butter Chicken Paste has a mild heat and a rich flavour.
To recreate this classic aromatic Indian dish, simply stir the paste through thick natural yoghurt to make a delicious marinade for chicken that’s even better than take-away!
Marinate 1kg diced chicken thigh fillets with whole jar of Simon Johnson Butter Chicken Paste and 1/4 cup of natural yoghurt for at least one hour but ideally overnight.
Heat 1 tbsp oil and brown chicken on high heat until just cooked.
Lower heat, add 1 tbsp butter and stir through until melted.
Add 1.5 cups of tomato passta & cook for 10 mins or until liquid has reduced slightly.
Add 1 tbsp sugar and about half a cup of cream depending on how thick the sauce is.
Add less cream if the sauce is already thin. Simmer for 5 mins.
Garnish with fresh chopped coriander, steamed basmati rice, fresh lime & natural yoghurt
