Cooking stuffing inside poultry helps to retain moisture during the cooking process. As the meat cooks, the stuffing absorbs some of the juices, preventing the bird or roast from drying out which can be a common issue with some lean meats. The flavours from your stuffing will also infuse extra flavour into the meat while cooking and the aromatics also fill your kitchen with warm & delicious aromas.
Our stuffing mix is simple to prepare, just add broth and butter (detailed instructions below).Â
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:
Combine stuffing mix with 100g melted salted butter & 200ml chicken stock.
Mix thoroughly until it holds its shape when squeezed together into small balls.
This jar should provide enough prepared mixture for 2 roast chickens or a small turkey.
Use any left over mixture by rolling into balls and wrapping with streaky bacon.
Bake until golden and drizzle with smoked honey or maple syrup.
