This exact scenario inspired us to conjure up our special DATE NIGHT BUNDLE, containing simple yet, classic & refined ingredients that when combined, allow you to effortlessly create your own special occasion dinner at home.
MEAT
The star of the dinner is without doubt the impressive, thick cut, grass fed, Florentine T-bone weighing in at around 1kg.
We’ve chosen the T-bone as it perfectly showcases the contrast in tenderness & flavour between two of our most popular steaks – the eye fillet and the sirloin.
It’s even sometimes referred to as the ideal ‘his & hers’ steak for this exact reason.
Another reason we love t-bone is that cooking on the bone is always yields good flavour. That bone also assists in conducting heat through the centre of the meat while cooking, helping to cook it through evenly. Need cooking advice on cooking a beauty of this size? WINE
A great steak deserves a great wine don’t you think?
We certainly agree with that sentiment so we’ve included one of our favourite red meat pairings, the recent award winning ‘Miamup’ Cabernet Sauvignon from Howard Park in Margaret River, WA.
This wine recently earned itself a rightful place on the 2022 James Suckling Top 100 Value List, making it one of just 12 Australian Wineries to grace the global list.
POTATO
If there’s a great steak on the table then we’re always going to ensure that potato of some kind makes an appearance. Our ‘ready to roast’ potato bake is ready for you to simply drizzle with olive oil, season and roast.
SAUCE
Selecting a sauce to accompany one of our premium steaks is not a decision we take lightly. It’s got to be really really good if we’re going to recommend you pair it with a steak of this quality.
Boutique Sauces are one of the few heat & serve sauces we’re more than happy to endorse. We can never choose between the Dianne Sauce with Buttery Leeks or the Green Peppercorn & Brandy so we’ve left that option up to you!
