Want to know how to cook on charcoal? You wouldn’t believe just how easy it is with a little knowledge, patience & the right tools. Confidence is key and after this class you’ll absolutely nail it every time.

Think you know how to cook sausages? You’ve probably not had them like this before. We’ll show you the how & why of direct & indirect cooking methods.

In this BBQ class you’ll be cooking on Weber Kettles using Fire Slap Marabu charcoal.

Why Weber? They’re the easiest, most versatile & reliable charcoal BBQ we’ve used. (Plus we have 20+ of them in our shed).

We go right back to the basics and show you how to fire up your charcoal successfully the first time, every time.

We cover some essential tips like; ALWAYS – starting earlier than you think you need to, DON’T use lighter fluid, knowing when the charcoal is hot enough, charcoal basket positioning, how to use the air vents properly, don’t guess when the meat’s done!

Billy’s mantra is that no one ever leaves one of our BBQ classes hungry or thirsty. Our new neighbours, the award winning brewery, Happy Valley Brewing Co. will be supplying the beers & there’ll also be wine & non alcoholic options available. As for the eats, you’ll be cooking and eating as you go. There’s always more than you can eat, all paired with some of our favourite sides & sauces. A good time is guaranteed.
