We’re proud to be stocking Fergo’s Farm raw honey. This honey is 100% natural, just as the bees love it.

Fergo’s Farm is owned and operated by the passionate husband and wife team, Sharon and Craig. Their dedication began with an interest in backyard permaculture and progressed into bees when they noticed a lack of pollinators and discovered one third of what we eat is pollinated by bees.

Fergo's Farm - welcome aboardFor Sharon and Craig, their main interest is the health and hygiene of the bees and ensuring they have ample floral resources to forage on.

This full flavoured honey is farmed from a variety of local Apiary sites. These include areas in the D’Aguilar Mountain ranges and the Morton Bay coastline. The bees forage on in-season trees and plants such as Gums (Eucalyptus), Paperbark (Melaleuca) and River Mangrove.

These dedicated apiarists also love to re-use, re-love and re-cycle. Keeping their carbon footprint down is also a business priority for them.

Fergo’s Farm raw honey is available in jars from Ashgrove, Rosalie and online. Alternatively, bring a refillable container or jar and let the crew fill ‘er up for you!

QUICK TIP:

It is natural for honey to crystallise.  The formation of crystals or “candied” honey is due to changing of temperatures and the nature of the sugar contained in nectar.  Some raw honeys candy far quicker than others and some do not candy at all.  It all depends on the plants the bees feed on to make their honey.

Honey is recognised as a food that does NOT spoil.

To reverse honey back into liquid just place it in or over a pot of warm water to slowly warm.  Not too hot (less than 36°C) or you will reduce the amazing health benefits.
